Service Description
Bring your drawing head to this exciting workshop! Charcoal drawing is characterized by its rich, matte black marks, soft edges, and the ability to create a wide range of tones and textures. It is a highly versatile medium that allows for both precise line work and expressive, gestural drawing. Unlike graphite, charcoal is easily erased and blended, making it ideal for creating dynamic and expressive works. Beginners are welcome as well as the more seasoned artists as we enjoy our time together meeting new and old friends. Where you will learn to draw using the right side of the brain before we bring the logic back into the mix. Alison will walk you through some basic exercises to release the creativity that you were born with. Yes, Alison believes that everyone can learn to draw, and with encouragement and practice, you will grow and explore other aspects of art by learning a few basic techniques. We will be having a delicious homemade lunch, and all the art materials are included. so all you have to do is come and relax. Alison will guide you step by step along the way. Bring your friends or maybe buy it as a gift for someone special. An apron is recommended, or some hand wipes as your hands may get messy. It's all messy fun, whilst we explore drawing techniques and exercises to help us see the world through an artists eye. We will have a delicious lunch and a glass of fizz. Please let us know 2 weeks prior if you have any special dietary requirements. All your art materials are included in the price.
