What is Abstract Art?
Many of us love abstract art. Have you ever asked why we love it so much? Some of us also hate it, have we ever asked why we hate it? Maybe its a lack of understanding and logic? Abstract art is not meant for us to tag a logical meaning to it. As we all see art in different ways of interpretation. It is an appeal for us to simply enjoy it for what it evokes in us. Giving us the freedom to interpret colours, forms and emotions on our own terms without a single correct meaning.

Do you put pressure on yourself to get the painting resolved every time?
Ocean Lights oil on canvas The Day After a Masterpiece: Why is it sometimes your Next Painting is a Disaster? You have just finished a painting you absolutely adore—it’s honest, vibrant, full of energy and sings to you. Yet, the very next painting becomes a disaster. Have you ever felt like this too? This isn't a sign that you're a bad artist. It's because you're immediately putting enormous pressure on yourself to repeat that previous success. When you finish a strong vibra

HAPPY DAYS
I have been working away on my vibrant colours from Holbien Japanese paints. These watercolour painting flow effortlessly over the wet paper. They are a dream to work with being highly pigmented and you can get deep strong contrasts. As you can see over the last few weeks whilst I have been recovering from a major surgery. I have been trying (in-between strong pain relief) to explore more abstrxt design. I love this creation and I am excited to bring it to the world. Availa

Artful Distraction
MINDFUL ABSTRACTION When it comes down to it and I need to forget about my struggles for a while. I go to my abstract designs. Being connected to a creative process can really help calm the soul, don't you agree? Artful distractions as l I like to call it play an important part of my daily practice. I was out shopping for some organic vegetables at a local farmers market the other day. When I was stopped in my tracks by some interesting looking foliage. I was was inspired to

On my way to the studio
As I was driving to my studio yesterday morning. Full of noise in my head and excitement to what the future looks like. Excitement and apprehension for the looming change which is about to happen. I was totally focused on all the things I needed to get through that day. After a very productive meeting with my business coach Mark. A kind of frustration welled up inside me, as I thought there is not enough hours in a day. Concerns I will run out of time to get things done bef

My band gig at the Coach and horses in Bentham
I'm currently getting ready for a fantastic evening of singing in my band Bluehounds uk. I use in Earby monitors on stage and I have a battery pack which I clip onto my clothes. So choosing what to wear is sometimes a challenge. It's a good job I can see. I have made a tag to see onto the back of my dress. We play all kinds of music not just the Blues. We have played the Great British Blues festival in Colne for 3 years running now. I'm looking forward to tonight's performan

My Sisters little garden. A poem by Ali Greer
My sisters little garden. Modest beginnings in the beauty of simplicity. She unfolds delicately with much vigor to sympathize. My Sisters little garden. It's a healing blessing each year to gaze in awe. Flowers pop up their tiny heads in a kind of claw. Straining against last Winters cruel frost. The Yellow Poppies, they never get lost. Self evolved, self-motivated, self-expression, self seeded. The North wind blows but not ever heeded. My Sisters little garden thrives with a
